Full Mission Profile Exercises
FULL MISSION PROFILE EXERCISES
FMP Exercises are designed to provide Special Operations Forces with the opportunity to apply ECW and mountain mobility skills in realistic, tactical scenarios. Objectives may include ambushes, raids, personnel recovery, etc., and can be tailored to each unit’s unique mission profile.
Along with primary objectives, Tactical Mountain training’s FMP exercises can include elements of weapons systems management, communications, opposition force engagement, and counter sUAS (Small Unmanned Aerial Systems).
Tactical Mountain Training’s FMP exercises utilize a diverse selection of mountain environments, such as heavily glaciated terrain, rocky alpine landscapes, temperate rainforest, and complex river valleys. Our permit zone spans a variety of mountain ecosystems, allowing us to craft highly customized FMP exercises that target specific mountain skill sets and prepare your team to operate at the edges of the map.
Full Mission Profile Exercises can be customized to include any of the following curricula. Please contact Tactical Mountain Training for a curated itinerary based on your team’s needs.
Weapons Systems
Extreme cold weather, moisture, and condensation are constantly collaborating to disarm you. Tactical Mountain Training’s FMP exercises offer SOF the opportunity to manage and maintain their weapons in the face of challenging environmental conditions. Teams can test the action and cycling of their weapons via the use of blanks in pre-planned engagements with coached opposition forces.
Communications
Adverse weather conditions and rugged terrain can greatly complicate the establishment of robust field coms. Tactical Mountain Training’s terrain challenges SOF communication systems with extreme cold weather, high latitude, and deep valleys. Our FMP exercises are designed to encourage SOF to create thorough communication plans, maintain equipment, and test TTPs for sat systems, mesh networks, and other coms.
LIVE FIRE TARGET TRAINING
There’s no replacement for training with live ammunition in realistic, mountain environments. Tactical Mountain Training’s live fire target training exercises employ the use of friendly and hostile targets at range, and emphasize speed, accuracy, and discernment. Technical, mobility exercises are often integrated into movement to, from, and between ranges. Live ammunition is tightly manage to ensure group safety.
COUNTER SUAS
In mountain environments, evasion can be the difference between mission success and failure. With drone warfare rapidly transforming the battlefield, it is imperative to implement effective counter measures. Tactical Mountain Training can integrate thermal drones into FMP exercises as a method for testing evasion strategies. Post exercise drone footage and feedback are provided to SOF for review.
Tactical Mountain Training operates training programs Monday – Friday, and recommends a full, 5-day itinerary for most courses. 5-day trainings allow for the incorporation of multiple training modules / FMP exercises, and works best with standard SOF budgetary constraints and operational tempo.
